We came back to London and the sun was out. After the heat and the stickiness and the long afternoon lulls of the tropics, suddenly the tumble and chug of the Tube, then rolling suitcases down still-waking morning streets, then the silence of a top-floor flat. There was a bite in the air under the blue sky.
Such a frenzied, hectic dash about Southeast Asia, and hardly a moment to think. Of elephants, of dumplings, of curries galore, there are stories to be told.

New apartment? How come you're moving? You must give us the new address so that we can track you down........... hee hee hee...
Eh, pliss, how come there is in fact *no* work for me? Cheh. No lah, I am still freelancing, and it is a tiring business. I thought my freelance lifestyle was going to be, like, two hours' work, six hours' skipping through the daisies. How can one person be so wrong? Fail lah fail.
Also no house, how come my life is sooo good? Am in the same place till end of June lah, then everybody cross fingers the boy and I find a ratless and well lit flat for 1 July... Tired already!
